- I am proud to be 38, happily married and a mother to five daughters. Grew up in Indiana, and am a small town girl at heart. We spent a few years on the East Coast in NYC and Boston, then lived a few years on the West Coast in Palo Alto, CA. We now live at the base of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Sandy, Utah. The mountains are spectacular and we love living here.
I am very passionate about skincare and cosmetics and am constantly searching for innovative wonderful products. I believe that great makeup compliments your face best when your skin is healthy and clear. Skincare is what I get most excited about and have struggled with adult mild acne, sundamage, and scarring.
Our lives have gotten so complicated, so many choices, and some much better than others. Marketing claims can be misleading, I hope to debunk some of those claims and need the help of others to do it!
My Mantra:
Everything we bring into our homes requires a little piece of our time and attention to care for it. I need to be selective and choose to hang onto things that “give back” in an emotional sense as much as they extract.

- Primers are a must in your everyday makeup routine. After cleansing and moisturizing your skin in the am, putting on a good primer is an essential step before applying your foundation. My favorite primer is NV Perricone's Ceramic Skin Smoother, but Smashbox's Photo Finish and Cat Cosmetic's Purrfection are wonderful too. A good primer fills in fine lines and imperfections, and allows your foundation to glide on and stay on. My face has never looked or felt better, and I believe that using primers have really helped.
Primers are a must if you desire a natural, and flawless face.

Thanks for inviting me to join your friends list. I agree with your philosophy regarding primers. I've noticed a real improvement in my 'mature' skin since I started using them regularly. I use Estee Lauder Prime FX, but would be willing to try something new. Thanks for sharing your experiences with this product!
