I have looked online at several products that can be used as highlighters and shading. If you use these techniques, any recommendations on which ones you like to use? I first got turned onto the idea by reading Kevyn Aucoin's book(s). Thanks for any advice you can offer.
P.S. and will these products be good for photography?
I checked out the attachment, but wasn't able to view the pictures on the website. Its probably my computer. I use Arbonne About Face mineral poweder. It covers like a foundation, spf 15, and gives my face all the natural highlights. My husband notices a difference when I use it. Whats I like best is that everything in Arbonne's About Face line, is that it lets your skin breathe. Theres no mineral oil or animal products or by-products in their products. Best of luck!

I actually like using loose powders as shimmer for highlighting. (Mac has a silver shimmer loose powder that's gorgeous on)... and I do use for photography, though more highlighting than contouring... I'll use light concealer (1-2 shades lighter) to highlight skin and then use shimmer powders on key points like middle or tops of cheeks, eyebrow bones, to highlight.. but a full highlight contour routine with powders as such was 80's style.. it's changed a lot now... I adore how it makes skin look in film though... everyone wants to glow now, not sculpt cheekbones. It's a different look. Liquid shimmers I like, but it's harder to use and control where you put it on, and if it's too much, it's hard to remove without ruining the rest of the makeup... powders are much easier..
the attachment was from Kevyn's website (a demo of highlighting and shading). sorry it didn't work. I only put it on there in case I wasn't explaining myself well. Thank you for the advice.
I'm over 40, so I use highlighter around my eyes instead of regular concealer. I find that regular concealers tend to settle in the fine lines around my eyes, even when I set the concealer with loose powder. Currently, I'm using Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen by Dior. It's pricey ($35 at Sephora), but it works better than any other highlighter I've tried. If anyone has a more economical product they can recommend, I'm all ears!

I came across a similar product by Smashbox called "Photo Op Under Eye Brightener." It looks like it would give the exact same effect as the Dior Booster Pen, and retails for $18! I actually received it in a QVC Smashbox Makeup Kit, and I have enjoyed using it, very sheer and light under your eyes. Great suggestion Sherry!
