If you're gonna take a picture of your FOTD or EOTD, DON'T USE FLASH! Get yourself some DAYTIME CFL (compact fluorescent light) bulbs in the highest wattage you can find and install them in your bathroom or wherever you like to take your pictures. This will help your pictures come out looking more natural/true to life looking than washing it out with the camera's flash.
