- Hello. My history with makeup is that I used to sit at my mother's feet and watch her apply her makeup so effortlessly and she always kept her skin so flawless. And although I was exposed to makeup early, the only thing I ever wore in high school and college was a little lipstick and occassionally I would apply some eye shadow. I have always recieved compliments on my flawless skin with my unique pattern of freckles and moles, which you have to get close to see. I have never drank a lot of soda and my biggest problem with my skin is dryness and I try to keep my face moisturized well.
I started really getting into makeup application and experimenting with doing my full face in my late 20's and early 30's. I don't know why, I just thought it would be cool to try it. Plus with the onset of MAC and other lines that provided a bright pallette of colors, especially for women of color, makeup, for me, became more fun.
And I absolutely love makeup made of natural products. I worked part time at AVEDA in DC for about a year and I learned about makeup application for others there and all about their natural line of products which I love.
Most recently, I made the decision to become an AVON representative, in part because I love the new MINERALS line of products, but also because I wanted to earn some extra money and what better way to do that than by working and selling beauty products. I have missed my work with makeup and this is the perfect opportunity for me.

- I don't like liquid foundation. I think that's for women who are really trying to hide something. I prefer liquid to powder or minerals as a coverall.
